An excerpt from 'Cowards never Start' March 27, 2016



A few months ago, Ted asked me to enter his company’s seasonal photography competition and I was genuinely enthused by the idea. I immediately started thinking about the type of photo I’d want to submit… it couldn’t be ordinary of course, it would have to be exceptional, creative blah blah blah…Four weeks later I had nothing!

Yes, the timing was not ideal, but the truth is, even if the circumstances were perfect, I doubt it would have been any different, simply because I am such a harsh critic of my own work. As the deadline approached I conceded “I’ve got nothing…maybe next time”and I forgot about it.

So you can imagine my surprise when I later received an email asking for a high resolution version of one of my photos. As it turns out, unbeknownst to me, Ted submitted a photo that I had sent to him...
